Masraff vs Ramp — which spend platform fits Turkey-anchored finance teams?

Ramp set the US standard for integrated spend management. Masraff applies the same automation to Turkey-based operations and adds native Logo / Mikro / Netsis / Luca integration, e-Invoice (e-Fatura) QR capture, non-deductible expense (KKEG) handling, and VAT withholding. Pricing is in TRY with no card issuer lock-in.

Detalii module

Cards: issuance versus existing card integration

Ramp issues cards through its own program (Visa / Mastercard) in 33 countries. Masraff applies no card issuer lock-in. Finance teams keep their Garanti BBVA, İş Bankası, Akbank, or Yapı Kredi corporate card, and statements reconcile automatically.

Expense management with Turkish localization

Ramp's expense AI flags 95% of receipt-policy violations on English receipts. Masraff's AI is trained on millions of Turkish receipts. It parses the VAT rate, document type, and non-deductible expense (KKEG) status according to Turkish tax regulation, with the same automation depth.

Accounts Payable: inbound e-Invoice is the Turkey advantage

Ramp's AP automation pays US-style vendor invoices via ACH. Masraff's e-Invoice Module receives Turkish e-Invoices via QR scan — VAT, supplier, KKEG status, and ERP entry complete in a single step. Five providers are connected (Doğan, eLogo, Mikro, QnB eFinans, Sovos). AP payment trigger is under development.

Travel: workflow plus Turkish depth, not booking

Ramp Travel books flights, hotels, and cars and enforces pre-spend policy. The Masraff Travel Module manages the workflow — approval, travel-agency email delivery, advance and offset, daily allowance, and KKEG vehicle-expense routing. Booking integration is under development.

Procurement: composable today, dedicated next

Ramp built native procurement with PO automation and vendor management. Masraff's Request Management (Form Builder) and Budget Module deliver a composable equivalent for finance teams — define the PO form, route it through grade-based approval, and bind it to a budget. A dedicated procurement product is under evaluation.

Unde excelează Masraff

These are not parity claims. They are capabilities Ramp does not provide because they are specific to operating in Turkey, or modules Ramp's integrated suite has not built.

Statement-expense matching in the Masraff app. People, merchants and amounts are sample data.
  • e-Invoice (e-Fatura) QR Module with 5 local providers

GİB e-Invoice and e-archive QR scanning are built in. Scheduled sync runs with five providers (Doğan, eLogo, Mikro, QnB eFinans, Sovos). The module supports 13 invoice statuses, manual UBL XML import, and encrypted credentials.

  • Six non-deductible expense (KKEG) types with four control modes

Vehicle expense at 30% non-deductible, lease cap above 26,000 TRY per month, alcohol and tobacco, meal cards, credit-card slips, taxi POS receipts, and documents with no fiscal value — each is routed to the correct ERP account. Four control modes apply: none, warn, block, or warn-and-override-account-code.

  • Withholding tax (Stopaj), reverse-charge VAT (SSKDV), and per-expense VAT splits

Three Turkish tax behaviours Ramp's spend management surface does not model: withholding tax (Stopaj), reverse-charge VAT (SSKDV), and per-expense VAT deduction.

  • Advance Module with full audit history (13 transaction types)

Domestic, international, and business advance subtypes. Automatic balance offset, balance carryover between advances, blocked balance for pending approvals, and multi-currency display. Ramp does not provide a native cash-advance lifecycle.

  • 20+ ERP catalog with 28+ account-code template parts

4 SAP, 4 Logo, and 3 Mikro variants, plus Oracle (EBS, Fusion, NetSuite), MS Dynamics AX, Luca, Orka, EBA, Nebim, Xero, QuickBooks, and a generic webhook. Cascading account-code mapping operates across sub-company, tag, cost-centre, VAT-rate, document-type, and category dimensions.

  • UPS Shipping Module

Standalone Shipping Module integrated with the UPS API. Address hierarchy covers country, city, district, and neighbourhood, with barcode and tracking. Five authentication types are supported. Each shipment binds up to 10 reports. Outside Ramp's product scope.

  • Delegation system

Time-bounded or open-ended delegation, a Switch Account UX, multiple delegates, and a complete activity log. The feature operates on a per-tenant on/off toggle.

  • Statement Module: 22 date formats and Turkish bank FTP

Native FTP integration for İş Bankası and Akbank statement pulls. 22 Excel date formats are supported, six statement statuses are tracked, and period-out-of-range detection runs automatically.

  • Live A/B testing of new AI models and the Masraff Assistant

Turkish-trained AI for receipt scanning, the AI receipt pipeline, and the Masraff Assistant. New AI models run on live traffic in A/B tests before rollout. The Masraff Assistant suggests how to group expenses into reports. One to three predicted categories appear on entry.

  • Travel Module: passport, visa, licence, four cabin classes, dual hotel, 62-field PDF

Full travel-form depth. Travel-agency email integration runs through airline, hotel agency, flight agency, room type, and transportation type dictionaries. Conflicting-trip prevention is built in. Ramp Travel focuses on booking; Masraff covers workflow and audit.

  • Composite, brick, and product-level expense splits

An IT team's expenses auto-split across four cost centres — the rule is defined once. Brick splits (FMCG retail style), product splits, and custom-product-field splits are also supported. Ramp's flat expense model does not represent these structures.

  • Nine user roles, multi-role assignment, and grade-based limits

User, Accounting, Admin, SuperAdmin, AdminControl, TripAdmin, WorkflowAdmin, Developer, and AwsClient — multi-role assignment runs per user. The grade hierarchy applies per-grade limits separately for expense, advance, and trip reports.

Ramp Card (issuance and virtual cards across 33 countries)

A Mastercard partnership is under development. Today, Masraff supports Bring Your Own Card (BYOC) with Turkish banks and automatic statement reconciliation. If instant card issuance is mission-critical now, Ramp is the better fit.

Lacună onestă

Business Banking (checking and investment accounts)

Not a Masraff product. Masraff is a software platform, not a bank. Turkish banking licences operate on a separate regulatory track. Pair Masraff with an existing Turkish bank.

Lacună onestă

Multi-country card issuance (33 countries)

Masraff bills in TRY and operates across 19 locales but does not issue cards abroad. Turkish holdings with international subsidiaries pair Masraff (TR HQ) with a local issuer in the subsidiary country.

Self-serve travel booking (flight, hotel, car)

The Travel Module manages the workflow, not the booking marketplace. Travel-agency integration runs via email and form today. Native booking is under development.

Întrebări frecvente

Întrebări frecvente

Does Ramp work in Turkey?

Ramp does not issue cards in Turkey and has no Turkish entity. US-headquartered companies with Turkish subsidiaries use Ramp on the US side; the Turkey side typically runs separately. Masraff is Turkey-native end to end.

Can Masraff replace Ramp's card issuance feature?

Not today. Masraff supports Bring Your Own Card (BYOC) with Turkish banks and statement reconciliation. A Mastercard partnership for card issuance is under development.

How does Masraff's AI compare to Ramp's?

Both platforms apply AI to receipt capture, automatic coding, and anomaly detection. Ramp's model is trained on English receipts. Masraff's model is trained on Turkish receipts (Migros, BIM, Şok, Yemeksepeti, toll passes, and others) and understands Turkish VAT structure, document types, and non-deductible expense (KKEG) handling. New AI models run on live traffic in A/B tests before release.

Does Masraff integrate with Logo, Mikro, Netsis, or Luca?

Yes. Native templates cover all four, alongside Link, Nebim, Orka, SAP, and Oracle. Ramp integrates with US and UK ERPs (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, Workday, Oracle Fusion).

Why is Ramp free and Masraff is not?

Ramp's freemium model is funded by US card fees and FDIC interest income — revenue streams unavailable to a software-only vendor in Turkey. Masraff's module-based pricing is transparent: the platform charges only for the modules activated.
